Gap Force Fiji is a ten-week adventure in which you’ll firstly take PADI Open Water, Advance and Emergency First Response dive qualifications. You’ll then be able to help the Wildlife Conservation Society in their aim to protecting the marine environment. Live like the locals and have plenty of time to enjoy recreational dives. greenforce

Gapforce is an organisation that specialises in expeditions and programmes to remote destinations around the world.

Gapforce has a combination of projects, many of which have a hands-on approach to aiding local communities. Through the conservation volunteering options and other gap ventures, Gapforce hopes to establish itself as a leading provider for enjoyable and rewarding adventures worldwide. The conglomeration of ‘Forces’ signifies the diverse options available to enthusiastic travellers. Go skiing in Canada, gain medical experience in India, work in Australia, trek through the Belizean jungle, complete conservation work in Fiji or go on a specialised mature expedition to Ecuador. Every region of the earth is covered with one of our Forces.

Wherever your heart desires, Gapforce will be there as your trusted name in travel. For 20 years, we have been providing innovative and unique projects. Greenforce has created UNESCO heritage sites in Fiji and works extensively with WWF and the Red Cross in South America. They were also in charge of the Maasai Marathon in April 2008, which proved a great success. Trekforce has used their expertise to become the first non-Belizean organisation to become an NGO and be given a portion of their rainforest to sustain. They have also established relationships with the governments in Papua New Guinea and Borneo. Ozforce has remained a popular choice for participants looking to raise money and our range of jobs in Australia sets us apart, with choices from agriculture to hospitality, teaching to construction. Medforce and Skiforce are exciting new ventures that combine our previous knowledge with some of the best programmes around the world. They are already gaining a solid reputation in the gap year and travel industry.

Using our non-profit status and close ties with the Year Out Group and the Foreign Commonwealth Office, Gapforce has become a pioneer in the industry, leading the way with profound vision. The safe and rewarding expeditions have no boundaries. They appeal to all ages, nationalities and religions. Join us as we cross rivers, climb mountains, traverse through jungles, dive into crystal seas, immerse ourselves in cultural history, construct pivotal infrastructure, save wildlife, meet great new friends and have the time of your life.

  • WA Shark Cull - Public Assessment!

But please, be careful with those submissions! There will be a formal process (good fact sheet here!) and those dudes are not those maligned politicians but people that generally know what they are
  • Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie!
Diego Cardeñosa inserting a tiny PIT tag for estimating the population size via mark-recapture - source. Bravo! We got ourselves another minuscule Bull Shark! Kudos to Projects Abroad's Shark supremo Diego for having doggedly persevered and finally managed to hit the right combination of habitat, current, temperature and salinity! May this be the start of many more such exploits? We
